DAILY WORDS OF WISDOM - 7th September 2020 A daily Bible exposition by Pst (Dr.) Isidore Ojukwu Nwankwo, PhD Wisdom and Revelation International Evangelical Ministry (WRIEM) Topic: When shall Christ come back? - Part 2 Theme scriptures:"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us"(John 1:14). The "beginning" that John mentioned above, is equally the same beginning mention in Gen. 1:1, which states, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth ". John made us understand that this creation of God, was actually done by Jesus Christ (John 1:3-4). The interesting question now is, where was the existence location of Christ during this pre-beginning period? It is safer to assume that he wasn't the Father, because then there was no time and space. From inside the Father, he was released as the word of God, the creative power of God, to put creations into existence. "And God said, Let there be light and there was light "(Gen. 1:3).At every point of creation, the thoughts and imaginations of God were delivered into existence and manifestation through the agency of the word of God, which is Jesus Christ. Now when it was time for Jesus to come and perform the redemption sacrifice for the human race, he took flesh as man. This is because, a spirit cannot be sacrificed to cleanse the sins of the human race that has flesh and blood. On this John 1:14 declares, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us ". During his earthly ministry, Jesus consistently communicated his pre-incarnate existence. He also defined his existential role and responsibilities in man's eternal journey and abode. He was succinctly clear that after his sacrificial death, resurrection and ascension into heaven, he is coming back to collect those that he have redeemed. One of such places is John 14:1-3 where he said, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also ". Prayers : I pray for all children of God that consciousness of the second coming of Christ shall preoccupy,cobtrol and determine their thoughts, imaginations, conducts and relationships.
