DAILY WORDS OF WISDOM - 11th September 2020 A daily Bible exposition by Pst (Dr.) Isidore Ojukwu Nwankwo, PhD Wisdom and Revelation International Evangelical Ministry (WRIEM) Topic: The purpose of your exodus - Part 2 Theme scriptures: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose"(Romans 8:28). We continued our discussions from yesterday. 2. Movements should be in line with the word of God: The exodus of the Israelites actually started when God declared to Abraham, "Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them, and they shall afflict them four hundred years, And also that nation whom they shall serve, will I judge, and afterwards shall they come out with great substance.... But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full"(Gen. 15:13-16). Thus the Exodus is actually a walk in the path of predestination. It is a script being acted out in line with the pronouncements of God. As a child of God, all your movements, choices, decisions, actions and conducts in life, must be consistent with your predestination in Christ. Rom. 8:30 says, "Whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified". Your calling in Christ Jesus is a predestination that guarantees your justification and assured glory. So all the actions of the child of God must be located in this calling which is an offshoot of our predestination in Christ Jesus. The path of calling assures the believer of victory, no matter the challenges and circumstances. Rom. 8:28 describes this assured victory and says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose". So your calling, which is a product of your predestination in Christ, ensures and protects your victory in life, ensuring your love for God and your walk according to his purpose. Prayers : I pray for all Christians that they shall be conscious that every of their thoughts, imaginations, actions,conducts and relationships affect, impact, decide and determine their eternity.
