And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had, rested from all his work which God created and made" (Gen. 2:1-3). When God completed creating the world in six days, he saw that everything he created was good. Then he rested and hallowed the seventh day as a day of rest. Gen. 2:1-3 says, "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had, rested from all his work which God created and made". Which day is the Sabbath day? It is the seventh day, which is Saturday. God rested on Saturday and hallowed it as a day of rest for all creature and creations. No work is to be done on that day for all creations. It is a day set aside by God Himself for all creation to fellowship and worship him. Observance of the Sabbath day as a day of rest is an acknowledgement that God only is the creator of the universe. Laterin human history, when God codified his laws and commandments, this Sabbath law, was clearly and conspicuously included. There also God explained the main reason of hallowing the seventh day as Sabbath of the Lord. Exodus 20:8-11 says, "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, though, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man servant, nor thy maid servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested. The seventh day, wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it ". Here the Lord God Almighty clearly brought out the reason of the Sabbath day. He said, it us his own Sabbath. A day every of his creature must rest as a sign of acknowledging his as the creator. Thus, hallowing the Sabbath day is an acknowledgement that God alone is the sole creator of all creations. Any attempt not to hallow the Sabbath day is an affront on God as the sole creator of the universe. This explains why Satan is very much interested in getting men to dishonour Saturday as the Sabbath of the Lord. Day if rest and worship to Jehovah God Almighty. Prayer: I pray for all children of God, that Satan is using denominational doctrines to attack their growth and maturity as sons of God. That the Holy Spirit in them shall reveal to them the truth and wisdom of the gospel, liberating them from the darkness of wrong doctrines and heresies. That they should have the boldness, courage and conviction to come out of such congregation where the truth of the gospel is pervesed in Jesus Name. Amen.
