DAILY WORDS OF WISDOM - 5th September 2020 A daily Bible exposition by Pst (Dr.) Isidore Ojukwu Nwankwo, PhD Wisdom and Revelation International Evangelical Ministry (WRIEM) Topic: Activate the power of God in you - Part 2 Theme scriptures:"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us"(Ephesians 3:20). It is our responsibility, as Christians to activate the power of God in us. We do this by allowing and nurturing the seed of God, which is the Spirit of God, that we received at our salvation, to germinate, grow and produce fruits. As you do this, you carry the presence of God wherever you go. You are then equipped and positioned to demonstrate the power of God in you. This explains why our theme scriptures says, that God will do all things for you "according to the power that worketh in us". The truth of the matter is that every child if God have access to equal power if God. Now the level or quantum of that power you demonstrate or manifest, depends on the quantum of the word that you have internalized and put into use. The internalized word of God, multiplies and grows the grace of God in you. The intervention of Christ, in the redemption plan of God, is strictly based on the mercy of God. The mercy is a product of love, which is the greatest asset of God. Releasing this truth, Jesus in John 3:16 said, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life ". Now riding on the mercy and love of God, Jesus appeared in the scene with grace and truth. John 1:17 says, "For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ". Watch it! Law was given, but grace and truth came! They manifested with Christ and his redemptive work. Grace and truth becomes the summary of what Christ came to do on earth: redemption of the fallen man. The truth defines the state of the fallen man: every soul that sins must die. There is no controversy about it. The fallen human race is surely heading for complete damnation. The grace is now working to suspend the wrath of God, to enable the fallen man fulfil the requirements of truth, which is repentance. So in grace man is made perfect, complete and full in God. Thus, John 1:16 declares, "And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace". Prayers : I pray for all children of God that their commitment to grow in grace shall not be scuttled by wrong teachings, denominational doctrines and human philosophies.
